Freddit Lore Wiki

Reversal Point City is the main hub of activity both on the Minecraft server as well as in lore, the Minecraft server in particular representing Mainlore. The project began in 2016, back then only consisting of a few buildings and roads. Today, rpcity is a blanket term for the region that exists within the Minecraft map, which begins at its namesake city and stretches out into custom terrain with distinct designs, even including towns and cities other than just Reversal City.

History in lore[]

During the Spurrian Invasion of 1988, Freddit City, the former capitol city of Freddit, was destroyed. Once the invaders had been fought off, T.B.C. founded New Freddit City for survivors of the invasion. With the help of various companies such as OrbCorp and Salt-Tec, both of which has established a partnership with T.B.C. prior, Freddit City was rebuilt, and in 1990 it was renamed to Reversal Point City. Due to T.B.C.'s fundamental role in aiding the city's reconstruction, the corporation was able to gain a foothold in the city's politics, the government even becoming partially owned by them.

The reconstruction of Freddit's capitol, along with T.B.C.'s influence, led to an economic boom, making Reversal City an attractive stronghold for large corporations. Many companies that previously existed in Freddit would try to have a corporate office in the central city. Because of the sudden rush, many companies bought out buildings which they had no intention on using in hopes of reselling them later, leaving many of them hollow even today.

In 2019, San Skeltal was purchased by the newly-founded Chumbruh Entertainment after a land dispute, and promptly renamed to Chumbruh Coast.

History on the Minecraft server[]

2016[]

RPTown[]

- something about /warp rptown

RPCity[]

- early roleplays (city power plant having its chimneys blasted)

- creation of builds that still stand today (t.b.c. gas station schematic, t.b.c. tower, toadmart)

2017[]

In the early months of 2017, several users were planning a roleplay titled Fallout: Reversal. Similar to the Fallout roleplays that occurred in Freddit's own Wasteland, this roleplay would take place in a ruined version of the RPCity map, with the city in ruins and all nature surrounding it dead. The roleplay would have begun after the opening of Hoopla World, a theme park owned by Salt-Tec, where the roleplay participants would seek shelter as the bombs dropped. In preparation for this roleplay, specific plans were drawn out to "complete" the landscape surrounding the city in order to make the roleplay more immersive. Oceanic borders were drawn out, and a vast mountain range was planned to be built in the northwest region of the map.

These plans were unfortunately interrupted by a takeover occurring in March 2017, which ultimately led to the erasure of 4 months of builds across multiple worlds loaded on the server, including Reversal City. This led to the loss of most terraforming outside the city, as well as several builds, such as a prison island to the southwest of the map and a Frooble statue along San Skeltal beach.

A month later, the lead planner of Fallout: Reversal attempted a takeover before being banned for good, ultimately shutting down plans for Fallout: Reversal for the time being, as well as Salt-Tec's active role within lore.

2018[]

While 2017's version of Fallout: Reversal was scrapped, the idea found new life in FalloutRP in 2018. Instead of converting the entire Reversal City map into a wasteland, buildings were copied over to the actual wasteland location and ruined there, eventually forming an alternate version of Reversal City in the northwestern wastes. The city train station, which is where players spawn when they warp to Reversal City in the Minecraft server, was besieged by a faction calling themselves the Council, and the stadium was converted into a small prospering city for dwellers of the wasteland titled Emerald City.

The actual city map saw dramatic changes as well with the construction of Defeners Tower, later purchased by T.B.C.. The build was taller than other skyscrapers in the city, which eventually led to people making their towers taller. This shift also led to many new areas being constructed around the city, such as the street facing Graph Tower with a small plaza nearby.

2019[]

Faztion Dynamics (back then known as FazCo, as can still be found on various builds) made its big entrance into the city's corporate life. (todo: controversy about land claim sizes, creation of Cherry Blossom Forest, FFC scandal)

In the latter half of 2019, the Minecraft map saw a wave of activity from the creation of Mack Mario and the associated Mack Book Pros building in the city's downtown area. A few weeks later, Chumbruh Entertainment was founded after the opening of a Chumbly Cheese location bordering the industrial zone of Reversal City. The next Chumbruh location was opened at the San Skeltal beach which, after a brief argument that evolved around the build not fitting in the area, later became Chumbruh Coast, as the company obtained the rights to the land. The buildings along the coast were replaced by the new Chumbruh 2 restaurant, the Chumbruh Hoe Tell, and the Chumbruh pool.
